On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 9, 1986, Bill Watts’ Universal Wrestling Federation held a televised House Show at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas.
The show featured pre-taped matches and interviews including several UWF Superstars.
The Blade Runners would eventually become very famous, highly successful singles wrestlers, known as The Ultimate Warrior (WWF) & Sting (NWA/WCW).

• UFC Fighter’s Positive COVID-19 Test Puts AEW Wrestlers Staying At The Same Hotel At Risk
UFC and AEW stars stayed at the same hotel in Jacksonville, Florida as both companies have their events coming up.
Two major events are happening in Jacksonville this week: UFC 249 and AEW tapings.
Coincidentally, all fighters/wrestlers and personnel for both orgs are staying at the same hotel in Jacksonville, I’m told. That could make for a fun time.

However, this could result in a dangerous situation, as it’s being reported that UFC fighter Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza and two of his cornermen have tested positive for the Coronavirus. Souza has been dropped from the UFC 249 fight-card.
The Wrestling Observer noted that Souza came in contact with one of his relatives, from whom he contracted the virus. At first, he tested negative, but the second test turned out to be positive. He was told to stay away from people, which he did.
It was noted that “a lot of the AEW talent, not all” are staying in the hotel because it is supposed they stayed for the UFC event.
AEW recently carried out Coronavirus tests for all their talents before this week’s episode of Dynamite, and fortunately, all of them tested negative for it.
