• UFC Star & WWE Have Mutual Interest In A Deal

Michael Chandler signed with UFC in 2020 and has since become one of the company’s most popular fighters. He made an appearance on WWE RAW last year, where he cut a promo and called out Conor McGregor.

Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Chandler, a huge fan of WWE, said that the idea of stepping inside a pro wrestling ring genuinely excites him.

“I think it intrigues me. I think it’s a lot of fun. I do think I would enjoy it. I think there would be some intrigue and interest on both sides. Spending some time with Sheamus and a couple of other friends I have. Diamond Dallas Page has been a friend of mine for a very, very long time, also. What’s really cool about him, too, which would be kind of similar to my story, because he always said, my career didn’t take off till I was 40, because he came in as a manager.

I think that’s one of the cooler things about the sport as well. It’s like a lot of mature men, the sport of mixed martial arts is a kind of a younger man’s game, but not really. We can get into that a little bit. I think young is awesome, and your body feels great, but you haven’t quite matured enough to get to that, not old man strength, but kind of that maturity of your body, and I think you don’t really hit that until 32-33, so I’m just a fan of the sport.

Love to go to the live events, obviously, love to watch it on TV. Obviously, WWE is now on ESPN at the time of this. So it’s pretty cool, man, a lot of fun to watch.”

When asked about when and where he’d want to debut, Chandler didn’t hesitate to name both a stage and an opponent.

“When’s WrestleMania? [April] So we can’t do WrestleMania. SummerSlam is in August? I knew there’s one in August. Minneapolis in August. Me vs. Logan Paul. Could be awesome. We’ll see. We got a lot of talks to happen between now and then. Obviously, they know I’m interested. I believe they’re interested. So we’ll see where we’re at.”

WWE and UFC are both owned by TKO Group Holdings, so the three-time Bellator Lightweight World Champion making the jump to WWE isn’t a far-fetched possibility.

• “These old guys need to stay out of what young guys are doing” – WWE Personality Defends Asuka After Goldberg’s Comments

WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg recently took a jab at Asuka, calling her “some girl” for surpassing his legendary 173-0 undefeated streak. Goldberg claimed that WWE allowed Asuka to break his record on purpose because he was one of WCW’s biggest weapons during the Monday Night Wars.

The Empress responded by saying that the comments didn’t bother her and added that records and championships naturally follow her wherever she goes.

Speaking on his Hall Of Fame podcast, Goldberg’s former opponent, NXT commentator Booker T, shared his thoughts on The WCW Legend’s remarks.

Here’s what he said:

“You know, I hate to say this because Goldberg’s a friend of mine. But I think these old guys need to stay out of what these young guys are doing. We had our time. For us to think about, in any way, knocking what these young guys and girls are doing today, it’s just totally out of bounds. We had our time, we ran hard, it was a great time.

For us to talk about what these young guys are doing right now in a negative way, I think it’s wrong in any way, shape, or form. Critiquing the wrestling is something we do.

I’m just glad I’m one of the guys who try to lean to the side that old school is cool, but we’re in a different era now.”

• WWE Star “In Pain” Following Match With John Cena

Logan Paul last appeared at WWE Clash In Paris back in August, where he lost to John Cena on the 17-time World Champion’s Retirement Tour.

In his latest vlog on YouTube, the former United States Champion gave an update on his health and revealed that he’s banged up from taking so many bumps inside the WWE ring. He said that he bought a high-end massage device to help his body recover after feeling sore from his matches.

“[Aescape CEO — this is the first one in history in any home.] So, I beat Tom Brady… But to be fair, bro, they’re not f**king jumping off the top rope. They’re not doing the frog splashes. They’re not Paul-verizing, bro. They don’t need it as much as me. I’m in pain, Eric. I’m in pain, bro. All I have is Prime and this massage table.”

In the same vlog, Paul also mentioned that he’s just waiting for a call from WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H to make his return.

• Penta Made Over $1 Million During WrestleMania 41 Weekend

During an interview on The Duke Loves Rasslin podcast, D-Von Dudley said Tony Khan isn’t the right person to book AEW’s product, and that the decrease in AEW’s TV ratings and ticket sales shouldn’t be blamed on the wrestlers.

D-Von praised AEW’s wrestlers and said if WWE had every single AEW wrestler, they’d be unstoppable.

Duke then gave examples of wrestlers who jumped ship from AEW to WWE and experienced success. He went on to make a big claim about Penta’s success in WWE:

“Penta made over a million dollars just selling masks alone during WrestleMania weekend. Just selling masks. He made that off merch. He never had a check like that from AEW… not a merch check.”

Penta competed in the Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year.
