Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Undertaker, Ricky Starks, and WrestleMania 41.

• Former AEW wrestler Ricky Starks made his WWE debut on last night’s episode of NXT.

During an interview on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker revealed that he first met Starks in 2016, when he was training for his match against Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 32.

The Deadman revealed that he was caught off guard by the former AEW World Tag Team Champion’s debut:

“So I’m training at this gym. I notice this kid is there every day. Doesn’t say anything, really respectful. As the training went along and we needed different spotters and different help, he was always right there.

Finally we struck up a conversation, and he told me that he was trying to break into the business. I kinda talked to him about different things. And he actually, one of the Rumbles that Michelle was a surprise guest in, she wanted to get in the ring, and he came down and trained with her.

I’ve seen him a few times here and there, and I’ve always had great conversations with him. He’s such a good kid, such a respectful kid.

Yeah so that debut caught me completely off guard – I hadn’t seen him in probably a year, year-and-a-half maybe, and then I just looked up and saw him there. But yeah, that’s how we met. We met in a gym when I was getting ready for Shane at WrestleMania.”

• The lineup for WrestleMania 41 is taking shape, with speculation that John Cena will win the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match and challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title in the main event of Night 2.

WrestleVotes reported that some people within WWE prefer adding CM Punk to the Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena match for the Undisputed WWE Title, turning it into a triple threat. This would be instead of the originally planned triple threat featuring Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns.

As of this writing, only one match is confirmed for WrestleMania 41 – Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship.
