• “Unfortunately it’s getting worse” – Top AEW Star On Injury
Former AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. is dealing with a back injury, which is now causing problems in her neck as well.
On this week’s debut episode of AEW All Access, Britt was shown getting treated for the injury heading into the Full Gear 2022 PPV, where she lost to the returning Saraya (fka Paige in WWE).
During an interview with ComicBook, Britt said the following about her injury:
“Unfortunately it’s getting worse. Now it’s like a neck and a back problem. But it’s manageable. I’m tough, so I’ll always find ways to work.
My championship reign was with a broken wrist. So I’ll figure it out one way or another.
You’ve got to work your way around it, sometimes maybe trick your body into thinking, ‘Eh, it doesn’t really hurt that bad.'”
Her last match took place at the AEW House Rules untelevised live event on March 18th, where she defeated Anna Jay. This match received a lot of criticism for the amount of botches it had (Britt was dealing with an injury and it was also Anna’s first match in a while).
Baker appeared on this week’s Dynamite and celebrated by making out with her boyfriend Adam Cole, who made a successful return to the ring in the main event by defeating Daniel Garcia.
