Adam Cole is expected to make his long-awaited return to AEW after being out for over a year due to an ankle injury that required two surgeries.
According to Fightful Select, there is growing optimism backstage that Cole could be back in action soon, as he has made notable progress in his recovery.
He was recently seen walking without crutches or a boot at AEW All Out.
“Word backstage within All Elite Wrestling is that they’re hopeful and even expecting to get Adam Cole back sooner than later,
and that wheels have already been put in motion to prepare for that on-screen.”
Cole is set to resume in-ring training, and sources indicate he was in good spirits at the recent event, further raising anticipation for his return.
While recuperating, Cole has also experienced personal changes, including a quiet split from Britt Baker, as he relocated from Florida to Pennsylvania.
Both stars are now focused on their careers, with Cole’s return being highly anticipated by AEW fans.
