• Update On Change To WrestleMania 36 Title Match

In the main event of Friday Night SmackDown, The Usos faced The New Day in a #1 contenders match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz were on commentary during the match.

The match ended with all 3 teams fighting and Michael Cole then announced that Miz & Morrison will defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championship against both New Day & Usos in a Triple Threat Tag Team Ladder Match at WrestleMania 36.

As we noted before, The Miz was sick on the day of WrestleMania 36 tapings earlier this week and wasn’t used.

There were some reports that WWE taped John Morrison vs. one of The Usos in a singles Ladder match for WrestleMania 36.

However, that’s not the case (and quite frankly doesn’t make sense either).

The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that Morrison vs. one of The Usos vs. one member of The New Day in a Ladder match was filmed for WrestleMania 36:

“Miz was sick, now I was told that it’s a three-way — it’s a three-way singles match.

I was told that it was one of The Usos vs John Morrison vs one of The New Day in a ladder match. That was gonna be the three-way ladder match.”

This change is expected to be made official on next week’s SmackDown.
