Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Rock and CM Punk.

• On last night’s episode of SmackDown, The Rock asked the fans in Glendale, Arizona if a lot of fans attending the show were from Phoenix. The fans cheered and Rock said it makes sense as Phoenix is #1 in cocaine and meth consumption.

As per the findings from American Addiction Centers, Phoenix has the highest proportion of its population using cocaine and methamphetamine. With a population of 1.5 million, the report reveals that 15.1% have used meth, and 23.3% have used cocaine. Mesa, Arizona, follows as the second-ranked city in both categories.

Despite Phoenix’s notable usage rates, Omaha, Nebraska, earns the title of the city with the highest overall drug use, primarily due to its significant percentage of marijuana users in the population.

However, according to City Data, Traverse City, Michigan, has a population usage rate of cocaine at 23.8%, slightly surpassing that of Phoenix.

WWE Interviewer Kayla Braxton apologized on The Rock’s behalf for this comment, as she tweeted the following:

“I’m sorry for what my coworker just said about Phoenix. I happen to absolutely love it here and think the people are delightful.”

• WWE is advertising that CM Punk will return to TV on the final RAW before WrestleMania 40 in Brooklyn on April 1st.

This will be Punk’s first appearance on RAW since the post-Royal Rumble episode, where he announced his triceps injury and got attacked by Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre is doing a good job of keeping Punk relevant on TV, as he keeps taking shots at him, both on RAW and Social Media.

According to Fightful Select, current plan is to have Punk involved at WrestleMania 40 in some capacity.

While nothing is confirmed about his WrestleMania XL role so far, there’s speculation that he could either be the Host of the show or be the Special Guest Referee for the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and McIntyre.

Punk was last seen at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Press Conference, where he worked as a Host. He also appeared in attendance at the recent UFC 298 PPV.
