• Update On Independent Wrestler Matt Travis Passing Away At Age 25

As we noted last night, independent wrestler Matt Travis passed away at the age of 25.

Travis was involved in an accident that led to his death. Below is what NBC New York reported about this:

“A dump truck driver struck and killed a cyclist in East Harlem before fleeing the scene, police said.

The 25-year-old man was traveling south on a bike path coming off the Willis Avenue Bridge around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when a Kenworth dump truck driver traveling south on 1st Avenue made an illegal left turn onto East 125th Street in an attempt to get onto the bridge, a preliminary NYPD investigation found.

As the dump truck was turning, it struck the cyclist, sending him to the ground with severe body trauma, according to police.

The cyclist was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the dump truck didn’t stay at the scene, according to police. The driver was last seen traveling north on the bridge.”
