Ford went for his Frog Splash finisher on Austin Theory, but Theory got his knees up. Seth Rollins then hit Ford with the Stomp. Theory then pinned Ford.
Montez was then helped to the back by the trainers.
According to Fightful Select, Montez is doing fine and the injury angle was only done to facilitate Logan Paul entering the Chamber to attack Rollins.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H tweeted the following about Ford after last night’s performance:
“Missed mentioning at the press conference…
But Montez Ford is a STAR.”
Logan also praised Montez. Below is what he tweeted:
“Montez Ford the real MVP.”
Many wrestlers have praised Montez in the past and see him as a singles star in the future and even think he’ll become WWE Champion someday, and that includes The Rock.

• Old School ECW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School ECW Veteran Danny Doring (Real name: Daniel Morrison) celebrates his 49th birthday today.
After being trained in the famous ECW House of Hardcore wrestling school in 1996, Danny Doring wrestled for Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling from 1997until the company closed its doors in early 2001.
For most of his ECW run Doring was put in a Tag Team with super-heavyweight wrestler Amish Roadkill and together they became the ECW World Tag Team Champions on December 3, 2000 by defeating the Full Blooded Italians.
Still to this day they are the last ever ECW Tag Team Champions, considering that – as opposed to the ECW World Title – the Tag belts were not brought back for WWE’s 2006-2010 version of ECW (on ScyFy).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNY DORING!
