• Old School Wrestling Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 94th birthday of Old School Wrestling Legend Angelo Poffo.

Poffo was a professional wrestler during the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, as well as the promoter of International Championship Wrestling (ICW), but the thing Angelo was most famous for, was being the father of WWF Legend “The Macho Man” Randy Savage and WWF Veteran “The Genius” Lanny Poffo.

In 1995, he was inducted into the short-lived WCW Hall of Fame, but has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, which is probably going to happen as part of their annual ‘Legacy Wing’ inductions.

• Update On Roman Reigns’ Upcoming PPV Opponent

As seen this past Sunday at WrestleMania 35, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle lost the final match of his career to Baron Corbin.

Angle got his revenge on last night’s RAW though, when Angle layed out Corbin with an Angle Slam and made him tap out to the Ankle Lock (this was before Lars Sullivan made his debut and laid out Angle).

According to the Wrestling Observer, Corbin was chosen to get a big win over Angle because WWE is grooming him for a feud with “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns.

In an update to this, there’s another confirmation regarding the above stated plan of Corbin feuding with Reigns.

Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin is currently being advertised for the Extreme Rules 2019 PPV in July. It’s possible that this could be a gimmick, since it’s Extreme Rules PPV.

Speaking of WWE’s PPV schedule, Money In The Bank is set to take place in May, followed by a Saudi Arabia PPV in June, then Extreme Rules in July and SummerSlam in August.
