During an interview on Busted Open Radio earlier this year, Nia Jax stated that Tamina Snuka revealed to her that the 2023 Royal Rumble could be her last one. Here’s what Nia had to say:

“It’s funny because with the previous Rumble (2022), I was not going to come back. I was asked to come back, and I was like ‘Absolutely not’. I wasn’t there.

But this last one (2023), my cousin Tamina and I talked about it and she said it might be her last one, and I was like ‘Well, frick, if that’s going to be Tamina’s last Rumble, I definitely want to be a part of it’, if they wanted me to be a part of it.”

This began speculation that Tamina could be leaving WWE soon.

In an update, Fightful Select is reporting that Tamina is still under a contract with WWE and appears backstage from time to time.

Tamina has only wrestled 3 times this year:

1. 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match on January 28

2. Candice LeRae & Michin def. Dana Brooke & Tamina (WWE Main Event – February 20)

3. Michin def. Tamina (WWE Main Event – February 27)

Tamina, the daughter of late WWF Legend ‘Superfly’ Jimmy Snuka, is 45 years old and has been wrestling on the WWE main roster for 13 years, since her debut in May of 2010.
