Update On The Elite’s Future In AEW

The Elite laid the foundation for AEW over 4 years ago. Things were going well for the trio until the infamous Brawl Out incident last year, in which they got into a backstage fight with former AEW World Champion CM Punk.

Punk’s return to AEW sparked the rumors of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks possibly leaving the promotion once their contracts expire.

Omega’s off-air promo after Blood & Guts last week also teased The Elite parting ways with the company.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

According to the Wrestling Observer, the prevailing belief is that The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page are staying in AEW.

It was also noted that WWE believed months ago that they had a good chance at signing Omega in 2024. But that belief has gone “cold” now and WWE believes that The Cleaner will re-sign with AEW, which likely means the rest of The Elite will stay there too.

Speaking of AEW, below is the card for next week’s 200th episode of Dynamite:

– Toni Storm (c) vs. Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship

– Jerry Lynn to answer FTW Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry’s challenge for a match

– Chris Jericho & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia

– Jon Moxley vs. Trent Beretta vs. Penta El Zero Miedo
