• Update On The Future Of Recently Released WWE Wrestler
According to Fightful Select, former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida has left WWE:
“Early indications that Fightful was given was that his deal expired, though we haven’t been given any idea as to whether or not a new one was offered.
At least one person in the company was of the belief it was a ‘budget cut release’.”
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE Officials believe Kushida will return to NJPW in a couple of months:
“His contract expired and he made the call not to sign a new deal. Those in WWE are under the impression he starts back with New Japan in June. WWE wrote him off with the idea he was injured by the Von Wagner powerbomb over suitcases.”
Kushida joined NXT back in 2019, but never got to the WWE main roster.
He’s known for his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor Wrestling as well.
Below are his major accomplishments in NJPW & ROH:
– 6x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion
– 2x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion
– 1x ROH TV Champion
