• Update On The Future Of The WWE Brand Split

WWE did a Title Unification Match for the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 38.

At WrestleMania Backlash next month, a Title Unification Match for the RAW Tag Team Championship and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship will take place.

There is speculation going on that WWE could end the Brand Split in the coming months.

However, that’s not the case.

Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is not planning to merge the RAW & SmackDown rosters:

“Roman Reigns is scheduled to headline WrestleMania Backlash even though they don’t seem to have started a program for him.

Also, regarding rumors of brand mergers because of the singles title merger and the tag title merger, right now they are not merging rosters.”

Also, we reported a few days back that the WWE & Universal Titles aren’t truly merged into one. They are still separate titles that will get defended separately.

At the recent WWE Live Events, Roman only defended the Universal Title in his matches against Drew McIntyre.
