• Update On The Masked Man Angle After Bronson Reed’s Injury
A sudden injury to Bronson Reed on this week’s RAW has sent shockwaves through WWE’s creative plans, forcing a total overhaul of key storylines.
Reed was originally booked to win his Elimination Chamber qualifying match, but his torn biceps injury meant officials had to pivot mid-show, crowning Jey Uso as the winner instead. The ripple effect has reached much further than the Elimination Chamber bracket.
The injury has most notably derailed the mysterious “masked man” saga. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the masked figure and Logan Paul were both integral to the original finish of Reed’s match.
Because Reed is no longer in the mix, the entire masked man angle is now reportedly undergoing heavy rewrites. Writers are scrambling to figure out how to keep the momentum of the masked man reveal alive without its primary catalyst, marking a significant shift in the brand’s direction as they head toward WrestleMania 42.
• WWE’s Plan For Jacob Fatu At WrestleMania 42
While Drew McIntyre currently holds the Undisputed WWE Championship, the road to WrestleMania 42 is becoming increasingly chaotic behind the scenes at WWE headquarters.
Internal reports from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select indicate that the creative department is heavily pushing for former United States Champion Jacob Fatu to be inserted into the WWE Title picture for the Grandest Stage of Them All.
This adds a major wrinkle to the ongoing rivalry between the champion and Cody Rhodes, especially since Fatu is not scheduled to compete in this weekend’s Elimination Chamber, where the winner will earn a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 42.
This late-game uncertainty is reportedly causing panic within various departments in WWE. With WrestleMania fast approaching, staff members responsible for promotional materials, graphics, and merchandise are facing strict deadlines. The lack of a finalized main event direction has left these teams fearing they are falling behind, as they cannot produce essential marketing assets without knowing exactly who will be fighting for the gold.
The challenge now lies in how WWE will bridge the gap. Since Fatu is sitting out the Chamber, officials must find a creative way to factor him into the existing feud between McIntyre and Rhodes. Whether this leads to a multi-man clash or a sudden shift in the title landscape, the clock is ticking for creative to lock in a plan and ease the growing tension among the production staff.
• WWE & TKO Just Scored a Major Court Win
WWE and TKO Group Holdings are no longer named as defendants in the ongoing Delaware merger litigation tied to the company’s formation. According to newly filed SEC documents, the consolidated shareholder case — formally proceeding under In re World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. Merger Litigation — now centers on several former WWE directors rather than the corporate entities themselves. WWE, TKO, and Endeavor Group Holdings (EGH) were previously included in related complaints but have since been removed from the action.
The lawsuit stems from multiple class action complaints filed in late 2023 and early 2024 by former WWE stockholders. The plaintiffs alleged breaches of fiduciary duty connected to the transactions that led to the creation of TKO. Earlier filings also included claims regarding appraisal rights under Delaware law.
Over time, the structure of the case has narrowed. The Delaware Court of Chancery consolidated the separate actions into one proceeding and later dismissed certain defendants. As it stands, only individual former directors remain involved in the litigation.
Fact discovery in the case closed in December 2025, and a trial is currently scheduled for June 2026.
