• Update On This Year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal & WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

The 1st ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal took place at WrestleMania 30 in 2014 and the 1st ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal took place at WrestleMania 34 in 2018.

Both these matches didn’t take place at WrestleMania 36 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

They didn’t take place at WrestleMania 37 either, but the Andre the Giant Battle Royal ended up taking place on SmackDown prior to the Show of Shows.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WrestleMania 38 might not feature these Battle Royals either, and the Andre Battle Royal could end up taking place on next week’s RAW or SmackDown:

“There has been no talk of either a Men’s or Women’s Battle Royal for those on the roster not booked.

There are not a lot of women on the roster who are ready to fill a Battle Royal, but there are more than enough men.

The last we heard about the Andre the Giant Men’s Battle Royal was a few weeks ago, and at the time it was probably going to take place on the 4/1 SmackDown show in Dallas, although there had been a possibility of it being on the 3/28 RAW in Pittsburgh.”
