Payback 2017 is the next Raw exclusive PPV and will take place on April 30. “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar isn’t expected to defend the WWE Universal Title at Payback.
Instead of a WWE Universal Title match, a #1 contenders match between “The Guy” Roman Reigns and “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman is scheduled to main event Payback 2017.
The winner of this match is expected to face Lesnar for the Universal Title in the main event of Extreme Rules 2017 on June 4.
Speaking of the Strowman-Reigns match at Payback 2017, Strowman is expected to win this match and face Lesnar for the Title.
However, it should be noted that Reigns, who is coming off the biggest victory of his career over The Undertaker at WrestleMania, will be protected in the finish of the match (which means the match won’t have a clean finish).
