As we noted before, TMZ broke out the news that WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper passed away.
TMZ has provided an update to that story & note that Piper died of cardiac arrest. He was at his Hollywood home.
The following statement was issued to TMZ from one of Piper’s representatives:
“I am devastated at this news. Rod was a good friend as well as a client and one of the most generous, sincere and authentic people I have ever known. This is a true loss to us all.”
Piper’s family members issued the following statemnt to TMZ & noted that Roddy was cancer free at the time of his death:
“Our family is saddened by the sudden passing of our father and beloved husband, Roderick Toombs aka Rowdy Roddy Piper.”
