On this day in 1983, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Championship Wrestling’.
This episode was pre-taped at the Agricultural Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments involving the 1983 WWF Superstars.

• Vince McMahon Wants To Set Up Brock Lesnar vs. Matt Riddle, Royal Rumble Incident Was Reportedly A Work
While the Royal Rumble 2020 pay-per-view was going on, reports came out that Brock Lesnar and Matt Riddle had a confrontation backstage at the PPV.
talkSPORT revealed what Lesnar said to Riddle backstage at Royal Rumble 2020:
“According to a WWE official, Lesnar is said to have approached Riddle backstage and grabbed his shoulder to get his attention.
Then, Lesnar said: ‘Kid, you might as well stop saying my name and tagging me in sh*t because you and I will never work together. Ever.'”
According to Slice Wrestling, this incident was a work set up by Vince McMahon, Triple H and Paul Heyman to gauge fan interest in a future Lesnar vs. Riddle match.
WWE “leaked” information regarding this worked incident on purpose and knew this story would catch fire.
Riddle is on his way to get an even bigger push in NXT. He recently won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic along with Pete Dunne, and could go on to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship this Sunday at NXT TakeOver: Portland.
WWE officials won’t rush anything with Riddle and will give him enough time on NXT to get over, before bringing him to the main roster and finally doing the match with Lesnar.
