• Old School WCW Wrestler Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 48th birthday of Old School WCW Star “Hail” Emory Hale, who passed away in 2006 at the young age of 36.

Some of you will certainly remember him from his WCW days with Jimmy Hart as his manager, mostly wrestling on C-shows like WCW Saturday Night.

• Vince McMahon’s Initial Reaction To 205 Live Revealed

During a recent appearance on “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, former WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs had the following to say about 205 Live and Vince McMahon’s initial reaction to it:

“Vince was really excited about 205 Live when it first started, but I really think in a lot of ways, but they were in a really tough position, right off the bat. First off, being on at 10 p.m., after 2 hours of SmackDown without any stars, so it is really hard to create stars from non-stars.

You need somebody that people know. I need to know that Noam Dar has at least met Chris Jericho, they are in completely different universes. Other thing is that there’s really no demand for the show. Look, this isn’t 20 years ago when WCW at the top of the card was Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, Big Show, or Lex Luger; you had Jericho, Rey Mysterio; I mean, the top of the WWE card those guys can go.

Seth Rollins does the 205 Live style better than the 205 Live guys do, so where is the demand? Now you see smaller guys, lesser stars, doing stuff not really as good as those on the main roster. John Cena is even doing Springboard Diamond Cutters; that style has really permeated on the main roster.

It’s a really tough position they are in. I give those guys a lot of credit from the talents to the Writer’s. It was and is a really tough job.”

Hey guys. So as you know, I’ve recently opened up on social media about my struggle with addiction and my recovery. After I shared an extremely raw and open post about my story, @springgardensdetox reached out to me about filming a video to help spread awareness about addiction. Since we connected, we’ve been working on some great projects. SO In honor of the holiday season and the spirit of giving back, they are offering a “scholarship” to two people who are in need of help. If you or someone you know is struggling, share this with them and you/they may have the opportunity to receive a free detox treatment. If you’ve been there… you know it’s not cheap. _____________________________________________________________ Here’s how to apply: _____________________________________________________________ – fill out the online submission on their website: (www.springgardensdetox.com). _____________________________________________________________ -The information should include name, contact information, brief description of why you are deserving of the scholarship, and what you are currently using and/or will need detox from. _____________________________________________________________ -Once the submissions are received online, the admissions director will reach out. #holidayseason #giveback #spreadawareness #addiction #recovery #detox
