• Wade Barrett Reveals Who WWE Didn’t Call For A Nexus Reunion

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Stu Bennett (fka as Wade Barrett) discussed the rumors of a Nexus reunion earlier this year at WrestleMania 36 and which wrestler WWE didn’t want back from that group.

Below is what he said:

“They called me about it. They made a pitch to me. I hadn’t actually spoken to anybody in WWE for the better part of four years, in management anyway. So, this was the first contact I had pretty much since I left.

They had this idea. I didn’t think it was very good. If I was going to go back and do something with WWE again, I expected it to be more impressive than what they were offering me. So, I turned it down. It wasn’t going to work with me.

I believe they were still going to do something with Darren (Young) and a couple of others. I don’t believe Ryback got the call. They didn’t want Skip Sheffield back. He was a bit upset about that, I joke.”
