At last night’s NXT TV tapings, it was announced that next month’s NXT TakeOver: Houston will feature a War Games match between three teams: NXT Tag Team Champion SAnitY, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish) and The Authors of Pain & Roderick Strong.
This will be the first time in about 19 years that the War Games will return. The last official War Games match happened at WCW Fall Brawl in 1998 between Team WCW, nWo Hollywood & nWo Wolfpack.
Below is what the match-card for NXT TakeOver: Houston (which takes place on November 18) will look like:
War Games Match: NXT Tag Team Champions SAnitY vs. The Undisputed Era vs. The Authors of Pain & Roderick Strong
NXT Championship Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas
Fatal 4 Way Match For The Vacant NXT Women’s Championship: Kairi Sane vs. Ember Moon vs. Nikki Cross vs. Peyton Royce
Aleister Black vs. The Velveteen Dream
Kassius Ohno vs. Lars Sullivan
