The Wrestling Observer reported earlier today that Brody King, the #1 contender for the AEW World Title, was sidelined from AEW Dynamite following the “F**k ICE” chants from the previous episode.

The Observer noted that the decision to pull King from the broadcast came directly from AEW’s television partner, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). The network reportedly feared a repeat of the “F**k ICE” chants that erupted during last week’s show in Las Vegas.

With WBD currently navigating a massive acquisition by Netflix, the company is seeking regulatory approval from the Trump Administration.

Fearing that the U.S. President might take the anti-ICE chants personally, WBD executives allegedly stepped in to sanitize the broadcast to avoid getting on the government’s bad side during the sensitive merger process.

However, Warner Bros. Discovery has officially dismissed these rumors, stating they were not the reason for his absence. As per PWInsider, the following statement was issued by WBD to them regarding the Brody King issue:

“Warner Bros. Discovery did not have any involvement in Brody King’s upcoming AEW schedule. Any speculation to the contrary is categorically false. Brody is scheduled to appear during the next AEW event, which will air this Saturday on TNT and HBO Max.”

This was further confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, wherein Warner Bros. Discovery have categorically & vehemently denied all such rumors regarding Brody being kept off Dynamite.

Per the statement issued to both PWInsider & Fightful on this, Brody King will appear this Saturday at Grand Slam Australia as planned and advertised.
