Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, including an update on Jon Moxley:
– During an interview on the Bleav in Pro Wrestling podcast, AEW International Champion Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose in WWE) revealed that Vince McMahon said to him the last time they talked (which was in 2019, when he left WWE):
“I take a lot of pride in our work and our work ethic and the standard we set ourselves to, and the way we do the job. To be one of those guys that’s reliable, that’s always there, the downside is that it’s very easy to take you for granted.
The last conversation I had with Vince McMahon, he straight up told me, we took you for granted. It is a tough job because I got a lot of experience, a lot of stuff is very familiar to me and I’m comfortable doing stuff that a lot of other people may be intimated by.”

– John Cena appeared on The Grayson Waller Effect in the main event segment of last night’s SmackDown. Waller said Cena doesn’t want to be a wrestler anymore. Jimmy Uso then came out and said nobody wants Cena here and that the fans came to see him.
Solo Sikoa came out and had a face-off with Cena. Solo then grabbed Jimmy and went for the Samoan Spike, but changed his mind and superkicked Cena. Solo & Jimmy began beating up Cena, which led to AJ Styles making the save.
SmackDown ended with Cena and Styles sending Solo & Jimmy out of the ring.
According to insider source BWE, WWE is discussing doing John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa at Royal Rumble 2024.
WWE recently announced that the 37th annual Royal Rumble will take place on January 27th 2024, at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg in the Tampa Bay area in Florida.
