The Rock returned to RAW after 8 years this week and laid out Jinder Mahal.

After this, Rock teased a long-awaited feud with his cousin, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, by saying that he’s hungry and asked the fans if he should sit at the “Head of the Table”.

After RAW went off the air, Roman tweeted the following about The Rock teasing a feud with him:

This began speculation that we’re finally getting Rock vs. Reigns, either at Elimination Chamber in Australia in February or at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia in April.

Reflecting on his return, Rock noted that we’re just getting started. Here’s what he wrote on Instagram:

“It all hits differently.

The theme, the crowd, the connection, the reaction, the electricity, the chills – the mana.

Helluva way to bring in 2024.

Grateful, blessed & inspired to forever be, The People’s Champ.

We’re just getting started.”

The Rock’s last proper match in WWE took place over a decade ago.

In the main event of WrestleMania 29 in 2013, John Cena defeated The Rock to win the WWE Championship in a “Greatness vs. Redemption” match.

His only match after that was a 6-second victory over Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family in an impromptu match at WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
