Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day.

• Sean Ross Sapp said the following about WWE trying to renegotiate a deal with Peacock in the US:

“Yes, they seem to like that and I know what WWE also likes is spreading out their TV deals. That’s why they’ve got A&E, they’ve got Tubi, they’ve got Netflix, they’ve got USA, they’ve got Peacock.

They’ve got all this stuff they like to, CW (Network), they want to make their product visible on as many different platforms as possible and also getting a piece of WWE is worth more as a result than if you said oh well Netflix you can just have it all because Netflix is gonna want like some sort of all-encompassing discount deal.

WWE wants to make that money. It’s also good to not put all your eggs in one basket either.”

• Lilian Garcia made the following announcement after yesterday’s SmackDown in Spain:

“Just finished announcing SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain and it was absolutely incredible!! Gracias por todo el amor España!

But now I have some news that this was my last show as the full-time SmackDown announcer. A new era is upon us BUT I will still be with the company as I will be announcing for all WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event shows on NBC & Peacock, singing at certain special events, AND currently working on other show ideas with WWE!

WWE is my home so stay tuned as a new chapter begins… I invite all of you to continue this journey with me as we share it together!!

Bottom line, thank you and I love you dearly!!!!”
