On a recent episode of RAW, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins indirectly mentioned Brock Lesnar.
Cody said the following to World Heavyweight Champion Gunther:
“I defeated the most dominating champion in company history… and Gunther, I have already slain a frightening Beast.”
Seth said the following to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce backstage:
“So let me remind you – I’ve slayed Beasts, conquered Kings, and you know what sounds nice? Hunting monsters. I need this fight.”
After this happened, WrestleVotes provided an update on Lesnar’s potential WWE return. They indicated there’s a strong likelihood of Lesnar coming back, responding with a clear “Yes” when asked about his return.
WrestleVotes also mentioned that sources within WWE have confirmed that talks are currently ongoing between Lesnar and the company.
However, Fightful Select reports that there are currently no plans for Lesnar to return to WWE. A source denied the recent claim made by WrestleVotes, stating, “There are no creative plans for Lesnar, and if talks have happened, we haven’t been informed.”
The report also mentioned that no new producers have been assigned for Lesnar, and his name has been kept off TV in recent months. People close to Cody Rhodes, who referenced Lesnar on RAW, said they haven’t heard of any changes regarding his status.
Fightful added that there haven’t been any creative ideas for Lesnar in months, with one source suggesting it’s unlikely he’ll return while the feds are investigating the Vince McMahon allegations.
In an update, PWInsider reports that WWE has not had any recent talks with Brock Lesnar. Their sources indicate that Lesnar isn’t being considered for any upcoming storylines, and any mentions of him during commentary are just meant to enhance current storylines:
“There are zero discussions between WWE and Brock Lesnar currently. He remains off the board and any mentions of him on commentary are just to accentuate the current stories, nothing more.”
It’s been over a year since we’ve seen Lesnar on WWE programming. He was last seen at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes.
