Below are some top news stories of the day, involving MJF and Wendy Choo.
• In the opening match of the AEW All Out 2024 PPV main show, MJF defeated Daniel Garcia. After the match, Garcia retaliated with a low blow and a second rope piledriver, leading to MJF being stretchered out.
The main event featured Swerve Strickland and “Hangman” Adam Page in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Steel Cage Match. Page used a needle to stab Strickland in the mouth and delivered a chair shot to the head, knocking Strickland out. Medical staff attended to Strickland after the match.
According to the Wrestling Observer, both MJF and Strickland are taking time off after All Out.
In an update from WrestlePurists, MJF is taking time off to film a movie. Also, the original plan for All Out was for Garcia to pick up a clean win over MJF, but that was changed.
