Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring Sabu and Jazz.
• Why Sabu Refused To Go To The Doctor After Recent Stomach Issue
The investigation into the cause of Sabu’s death is currently delayed. Rob Van Dam stated this on his ‘1 of a Kind’ podcast’s tribute episode to Sabu with Taz. According to RVD, the hold-up is because Sabu was never officially divorced from Hitomi Brunk, and she wants no involvement.
RVD explained:
“I can tell you right now… They are not and have not released the cause of death yet. It’s 100% fact… And check this out, guess who’s got the authority to make decisions? Hitomi. In Japan, she wants nothing to do with him or that life anymore.
They never got the official divorce so we need her signature for several things… I don’t want to get too personal on what the hold-up is but it’s everything and part of that is the cause of death.
I have reached her through a mutual friend and she doesn’t want nothing to do with this. And trying to get her to understand that in the meantime without her signature everything is held up.”
Sabu passed away on Sunday, May 11, just weeks after his retirement match during WrestleMania 41 weekend.
Van Dam also shared that Sabu had been dealing with a stomach issue but avoided seeking medical attention due to fear:
“He had some signs… he had something going on with him. I remember him telling me that he had something in his stomach that sounded bad. And I was like, ‘Dude you should get that checked out.’ And he gave the answer, ‘No, I’d rather not know. I’m scared to find out.'”

• Former Women’s Champion Is The Guest Coach At The WWE Performance Center This Week
According to Fightful Select, former Women’s Champion Jazz is at the WWE Performance Center this week. She is working as a guest coach, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of WWE talent.
Jazz has stayed active in the wrestling world. Earlier this year, she appeared in TNA, competing in a Battle Royal and a tag team match with her husband Rodney Mack.

WWE often brings in guest trainers. Just last week, former WWE Tag Team Champion Doug Basham was working at the Performance Center as well.
