On last week’s episode of RAW, Bianca Belair defeated Doudrop.

After the match, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch brutally assaulted Bianca, who is her WrestleMania 38 opponent.

After the show went off the air, WWE released the following injury update on Belair:

“Following the vicious assault from #WWERaw Women’s Champion @BeckyLynchWWE on #WWERaw, @BiancaBelairWWE has suffered trauma to the throat and is currently being evaluated by medical personnel.”

Becky tweeted the following about it:

“An eye for an eye, a throat for a throat.”

WWE has now released the following update on Belair:

Bianca Belair ruled out of action due to throat injury

“Bianca Belair suffered a fractured hyoid bone in her throat as a result of the attack perpetrated by RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch last Monday on Raw, WWE.com has learned.

The WWE Universe watched in horror as Lynch took out her WrestleMania challenger in vicious fashion, wrapping a chair around Belair’s head and neck before sending her into a steel ring post.

Although Belair will not need surgery, she will be out of action for an unspecified amount of time as she recovers, officials say.”
