• William Regal Reportedly Returning To WWE After Last Night’s AEW Dynamite
At AEW Full Gear 2022, William Regal helped MJF defeat Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship.
On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF turned on Regal by punching him from behind with brass knuckles. Regal was then taken out on a stretcher.
According to Fightful Select, Regal’s contract with All Elite Wrestling ends in December and word going on backstage is that he’s leaving.
PWInsider added that Regal could be returning to WWE soon:
“There have been rumblings within WWE of late about Regal returning in a backstage role. That would mean Regal would be exiting AEW, where it certainly appeared that he was written out of storylines last night on Dynamite, having been attacked by AEW Champion MJF.”
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H recently posted footage of Regal to promote the WarGames matches at Survivor Series:
