3. Triple H vs. Shane McMahon Taking Place At WrestleMania 33?
As we noted before, Seth Rollins re-injured his knee on this week’s episode of Raw when Samoa Joe took him down for the Coquina Clutch.
Rollins has suffered a torn MCL and the recovery date is set to be 2 months. Now it should be noted that today is February 2 and WrestleMania 33 is on April 2. This means that by the time Rollins recovers, WrestleMania 33 would be over.
Even if Rollins manages to recover a week or two before WrestleMania, it would be too risky for WWE to keep hope for Rollins vs. Triple H because if his recovery plan doesn’t go as planned, then Triple H would be rendered without a match at the biggest show of the year.
WWE officials have started working on Triple H’s replacement opponent and one of the plans being discussed would see him face SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon.
This match has been discussed before as well with the theory that the real life tension between them would come into play.
