• Wrestling Legend Is Officially Back With WWE

According to PWInsider, Old School Wrestling Legend William Regal officially returned to the company on Wednesday morning.

Regal left AEW because he wanted to work with his son, Charlie Dempsey, in NXT.

Tony Khan agreed to release Regal, but the condition is that Regal won’t be allowed to appear on WWE TV for the entire 2023.

During a media call last month, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that along with coaching his son, Regal also wants to coach alongside some of his old friends in his golden years.

Khan talked with Regal and understood the situation, and wanted to do the right thing for Regal’s family (given how Khan is dealing with a personal family issue as well – his mother suffered 2 strokes recently), and agreed to grant him his release from the company, but after making some major changes to accommodate his request.

That’s when the idea of MJF turning on Regal was pitched.
