• WWE & AEW Interested In Signing A Top Wrestler

On last night’s Primetime Live, AEW wrestler Serena Deeb defeated Thunder Rosa to become the new NWA Women’s Champion.

AEW President Tony Khan announced on Twitter that Deeb’s first Title defense will take place on tonight’s episode of Dynamite against Leyla Hirsch.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that Thunder Rosa losing her Title was likely to happen, and that AEW and WWE are interested in signing her.

Rosa dropping the Title could mean that she’s heading to WWE, as the company won’t allow her to work on the independent wrestling scene if she signs with them.

NWA isn’t holding events due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and it’s unknown when they’ll return.

WWE has already signed Wade Barrett, who was working in NWA as a commentator. The company has their sights set on Thunder Rosa and James Storm from there now.
