Below are some WWE & AEW news stories:

– AEW wrestler Jake Hager (fka Jack Swagger in WWE) has announced his retirement from MMA.

He’s retiring with an undefeated record of 3-0 (1 No Contest). All 4 of his fights took place in Bellator, with the first one taking place on January 26th 2019 and the last one on October 29th 2020.

Hager noted last year that he wanted to fight Fedor Emelianeko and Ryan Bader, but those fights never happened.

During a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, Hager said that he felt Bellator was ‘jerking him off’, so he decided to retire and focus on just pro-wrestling.

– This week’s episode of RAW drew 1.33 million viewers with a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is slightly down from last week’s 1.35 million viewers with a 0.40 rating.

This was the lowest viewership for an original episode of RAW, only drawing more than a “Best Of” episode of RAW from December 26th 2022, which drew 1.07 million viewers with a 0.27 rating in the 18-49 demo.

RAW faced massive competition from two NFL games on ESPN and ABC, which hurt the viewership.

– 8 Years ago today, Sting’s final WWE match took place. In the main event of the Night Of Champions 2015 PPV, Sting lost to Seth Rollins in a WWE Championship match.

Sting seriously hurt his neck during this match and had to retire. He eventually came out of retirement in 2021 in AEW.
