On this day in 1993, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW Saturday Night’.
It was taped at the Center Stage Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia and featured pre-taped matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Starrcade 1993’ PPV.

• WWE Announces A Return For January 1, 2021
SmackDown’s Saviour, Seth Rollins, was written off WWE programming at Survivor Series last month, where he sacrificed himself for the blue brand by laying down to let Sheamus pin him in the 5-On-5 Elimination Tag Team match.
Rollins took time off to be with his fiancee, Becky Lynch, as she gave birth earlier this month.
WWE has announced that the former WWE Champion will be returning on next week’s episode of SmackDown, which will take place on January 1, 2021.

No word yet on if Rollins will resume his feud with Murphy and the Mysterio family, or if he’ll just announce his entry in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2021 match (like Daniel Bryan did on this week’s SmackDown).
Speaking of next week’s SmackDown, Otis vs. Cesaro and Intercontinental Champion Big E vs. King Corbin have also been announced for the show.
