• WWE Announces Title Unification At WrestleMania 38

As noted earlier, WWE announced that Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will be the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania 38 on April 3.

Now, at the start of tonight’s SmackDown, WWE announced that this will be a Title Unification Match.

So the Men’s World Titles are being unified, which means it won’t be like the Becky Lynch situation after WrestleMania 35, where the Titles remained separate and Becky lost one of them in a title defense.

Also, WWE is now promoting Reigns vs. Lesnar as the biggest WrestleMania match of all time.

This is going to be Roman’s 6th WrestleMania main event. Prior to this, he main evented WrestleMania 31, 32, 33, 34 & 37.

The Tribal Chief tweeted the following about this main event:

“… and the last image of WrestleMania is me standing with two championships over a broken, beaten, defeated, and humiliated Brock Lesnar. #GodMode #WitnessMe”

This will be the 3rd WrestleMania main event match between Lesnar & Reigns, which is a 1st time ever occurrence in WWE history.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock and The Undertaker vs. Triple H also happened 3 times at WrestleMania, but Austin vs. Rock only main evented twice and Taker vs. HHH was never the main event.
