• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 28, 2006) – Old School WCW Veteran Passed Away
On this day in 2006, we lost Old School WCW Veteran “Hail” Emory Hale at the young age of 36 due to kidney failure.
Some of you will certainly remember the 6’9 wrestler from his World Championship Wrestling days with Jimmy Hart as his manager, mostly wrestling on the weekly C-shows like WCW Saturday Night and WCW WorldWide.
After his time in WCW, Hale worked for Jimmy Hart’s XWF in 2001 & 2002, before he had to retire from professional wrestling, because of a kidney transplant in 2003.

WWE had a 7 hour long Royal Rumble 2019 PPV last night (2 hour pre-show and 5 hour main-show) and below are the results:
– RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable def. Rezar & Scott Dawson [KICKOFF SHOW]
– United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura def. Rusev (c) to win the Title [KICKOFF SHOW]
– WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match: Buddy Murphy (c) def. Hideo Itami, Akira Tozawa & Kalisto to retain the Title [KICKOFF SHOW]
– SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Asuka (c) def. Becky Lynch to retain the Title.
– SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: Shane McMahon & The Miz def. The Bar (c) to win the Titles.
– RAW Women’s Championship Match: Ronda Rousey (c) def. Sasha Banks to retain the Title.
– Women’s Royal Rumble Match: Becky Lynch won by last eliminating Charlotte Flair.
– WWE Championship Match: Daniel Bryan (c) def. AJ Styles to retain the Title.
– Universal Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (c) def. Finn Balor to retain the Title.
– Men’s Royal Rumble Match: Seth Rollins won by last eliminating Braun Strowman.
While the show featured multiple botches by wrestlers (just like all wrestling shows do), a WWE cameraman also botched while filming.
During the first match of the night, a Cameraman fell down while filming Bobby Roode & Chad Gable’s entrance.
