The upcoming “WWE Late Night Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe” show, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 2nd at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey during SummerSlam 2025 weekend, has officially been canceled.
Ticketmaster updated the event’s status and issued the following notice to ticket holders: “Your Event Has Been Canceled: A Refund Is in Progress.” The accompanying message explained, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. The good news is that a refund will be processed automatically for you. Your refund will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days.”
Cody Rhodes was announced as a special guest for the event, which had ties to the “Roast of WrestleMania” concept WWE debuted during WrestleMania 41 weekend earlier this year. That roast was a private event hosted by Hinchcliffe and featured numerous WWE personalities in unfiltered comedic segments. However, all recordings of that show were later pulled offline.
PWInsider reports that one source at the Bergen PAC venue confirmed the cancellation came directly from WWE. That same source noted that ticket sales were “light,” and that Rhodes was the only advertised WWE name attached to the show.
As of now, WWE has not issued a public statement regarding the cancellation.
