• WWE Changes Names Of ‘Next Brock Lesnar’ & Rick Steiner’s Son
We reported all about current Performance Center trainee Parker Boudreaux being considered to be ‘The Next Brock Lesnar’ by pretty much everyone in WWE, not just because he looks a lot like a young 2002 Brock, but he’s also said to be great athlete who can move very well for his size.
Before he debuts on the new NXT (aka NXT 2.0), they have renamed him and he will now be known under his new WWE name “Gunnar Harland”.
WWE management is also very high on fellow heavyweight up and coming Performance Center trainee Bronson Rechsteiner (Rick Steiner’s son), who is also set to be a big star on NXT 2.0, and he was also renamed, now going by the name “Rex Steiner”.
That’s actually good news, as it means he will continue the tradition of his father Rick Steiner and his uncle Scott Steiner by carrying their in-ring surname.
Seems like they have learned from the mistake of renaming Curt Hennig’s son Joe Hennig “Michael McGillicutty”.
Then again they might not, because they also renamed Cal Bloom, son of Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran Beau Beverly (Wayne Bloom), who will now wrestle as “Von Wagner”.
