• WWE Considering Between 2 Women’s Matches As The Main Event Of WrestleMania 39 – Night 1

As we have noted before, there have been reports about backstage discussions to have Roman Reigns drop the WWE Championship on the road to WrestleMania 39.

This would result in two Men’s World Title matches taking place at WrestleMania 39 – one for the WWE Title and one for the Universal Title.

The recently rumored main events of WrestleMania 39 were:

Night 1 – WWE Championship: Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes OR Drew McIntyre

Night 2 – Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. The Rock OR Cody Rhodes

However, plans for Roman are constantly changing right now, and current plan is for him to walk out WrestleMania Hollywood as still the Undisputed Champion.

Here’s what Xero News reported today:

“Regarding the WWE Championship: I’m told there has not been any discussion to take the title from him yet, he is not scheduled to defend just the WWE Title at any point in January or February.

They haven’t even spoke about ‘stripping’ him of it, as of yet.

Source states as far as WrestleMania goes, Roman is likely walking out with both. Believes ‘double duty’ is out the window.

The only talks about Roman splitting the Titles is to vacate the Title in the Draft after Mania, as been reporting for a while now.

Other than that, there is no other talks/plans for Roman to drop outside of using the Draft to do this. 3 sources have stated this.

In regards to Roman, his plans are changing daily due sponsors and network demands.”

They also noted that as of this writing, Roman vs. The Rock is still the planned main event of Night 2, for the Undisputed Title.

As for the main event of Night 1, WWE is currently discussing one of the following two matches:

– Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch

– Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair
