6. John Cena Signs Big Entertainment Deal With Leftfield Entertainment
15 Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena has signed a deal with Leftfield Entertainment for online projects and unscripted TV shows. Below is what Cena said about the deal:
“Whether I’m in the ring for WWE or on a TV or film set, I approach all of my work the same way – with focus, authenticity and total commitment. I’m eager to bring that same work ethic to the team at Leftfield, and to create new kinds of programming that can inspire and push people to be their best. I’m living proof of what you can accomplish when that happens.”
Speaking of Cena, he noted during a recent interview with Extra that he won’t leave the WWE ever:
“I don’t plan on leaving the WWE ever. WWE airs in 180 countries, they have 650 million homes they reach each week, they have over half a billion social followers. Why in the name of whatever we believe in would I shut that off? They have such a powerful voice, such an excited fan base, and I actually love doing it.”
This is good news for WWE as Cena has been the company’s cash cow for over 10 years now and is still the #1 draw in the company among the full time WWE Superstars.
5. Ric Flair Engaged For The Fifth Time?
It looks like the 2 time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is still going strong at the age of 67 as he got engaged for the 5th time! Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Flair got engaged with Wendy Barlow (a.k.a Fifi the Maid), who was his ring valet back in WCW.

Flair is expected to return to WWE programming for next month’s SummerSlam 2016. As we have noted before, Charlotte is scheduled to defend her Women’s Title against Sasha Banks at the biggest event of the Summer.
Flair is expected to be on The Boss’ side for this match (since Charlotte got rid of him). Also, Charlotte & Dana Brooke are expected to feud after SummerSlam 2016.
