Tonight’s WWE Fastlane 2023 premium live event took place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
On the Kickoff Show, WWE’s newest signing Jade Cargill met Chief Content Officer Triple H.

Also on the Kickoff Show, WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY said she has a strategy for her match and doesn’t need Damage CTRL at ringside. Bayley & Dakota Kai were shocked by IYO’s comments. Maybe seeds have been planted for IYO’s rumored WrestleMania 40 match (tap here to read more).
The main Fastlane PLE show begins with the Tag Team Championship match – Finn Balor & Damian Priest vs. Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso.
Michael Cole said on commentary that this is an interesting match, as both sides have one former Bullet Club leader – Cody and Finn. Corey Graves then praised Cole for getting those ‘Twitter points’.
Jey & Cody were about to win, but Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley & NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio came out to make sure that didn’t happen. Rhea tried to flirt with Jey. The Commentators noted that Rhea is the leader of Judgment Day.
Damian’s leg gave out during a Hurricanrana. Rhea hit Jey in the head with Priest’s Money In The Bank briefcase. Balor took advantage and tried to pin Jey, but Jey kicked out.
JD McDonagh tried to interfere and accidentally hit Damian in his injured leg. Cody and Jey then put Finn away for the win!

Up next is the 6-man tag team match. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits came out first, followed by LWO’s Santos Escobar, Zelina Vega and United States Champion Rey Mysterio. The match began with just Santos & Rey in the match from LWO’s side, so it is a 2-on-3 match right now.
Carlito returned to WWE halfway through the match as LWO’s mystery partner and pinned Montez Ford with a backstabber.

Up next is the WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match. As soon as the match began, Asuka spit the mist in Charlotte Flair’s face.
After back & forth action, Bayley eventually came out to help IYO, despite IYO telling her to stay backstage.
Charlotte had Asuka in the Figure 8 Leg Lock, but Bayley distracted the referee. Asuka was tapping out to Charlotte, but the referee didn’t see it. IYO then hit a Moonsault on Charlotte to pick up the win.

Bayley & IYO hugged after the match.
Pat McAfee came out and hyped up the fans, and said Indianapolis deserves a WrestleMania. He then introduced John Cena and LA Knight for their tag team match against Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline.
After back & forth action, Cena & Knight picked up the win after Knight put Jimmy away with the BFT.

Cena tried to raise Knight’s hand after the match, but Knight stopped him and instead raised Cena’s hand in victory.
Paul Heyman wasn’t happy with Bloodline’s loss.
Shane McMahon’s son Declan McMahon was shown ringside for tonight’s show:
In a backstage segment, Damian Priest said he’s not going home empty handed, and plans to cash-in his Money In The Bank contract tonight. However, Rhea Ripley told Priest that he needs to rest up and took away his MITB Briefcase.
Up next is the Last Man Standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura.
After back & forth action, both men were fighting at the top of a ladder and Nakamura spit the red mist in Rollins’ face and Rollins went through the announce table.
In the ring, Nakamura hit Rollins with a Kinshasa and put him through a Table, but Rollins still managed to get on his feet before the count of 10.
Rollins and Nakamura both go through tables in the stands after Rollins hits Falcon’s Arrow and Nakamura fails to get up before the count of 10.
