• WWE Had ‘Larger Roles Planned’ For SmackDown Stars Before This Week
The Bludgeon Brothers retained their SmackDown Tag Team Championship successfully this past Sunday at SummerSlam 2018 by losing to The New Day via disqualification. But unfortunately, they had to drop their titles on SmackDown this week due to Rowan suffering an injury.
While discussing WWE’s decision to have them drop the titles on SmackDown, PWInsider reported that the company apparently had a “larger role planned” for The Bludgeon Brothers before Rowan went out with an injury.
There were no plans for The Bludgeon Brothers to drop the Titles on SmackDown, but plans changed after Rowan’s injury.
Rowan will be out of action for 4-6 months. Hopefully WWE utilizes Harper’s talent in a good way until then.
