During a recent episode of his weekly ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ podcast, our Olympic Hero revealed that back in 2006, he walked right into a production meeting and pulled down his pants in front of Vince McMahon to expose his injured groin.
Here’s what Kurt Angle had to say:
“I think I told you when I tore my hamstring, my groin and my ab muscle all in one match against RVD. He was the WWE Champion or ECW Champion.
I went the next day, we had TV. We had 3 House Shows before the TV.
Next day, we had to go to SmackDown and I showed up early at the writers meeting.
I walked into the meeting room and the people, the writers were behind me and Vince was in front of me in a desk, the front of the room.
And I walked, took my pants down all the way down to my ankles, all you could see is my balls and everything completely nude. And if they’re black, it’s black, my leg’s black all the way down to my foot.
Vince is like ‘Oh my god, I guess you’re not wrestling tonight’. I said ‘No, I’m not, Vince, we need to have a meeting’. That’s when I quit.”
Kurt Angle wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Entertainment during the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era, from 1999 until he left in 2006 and joined Dixie Carter’s Total Nonstop Action! (TNA), where he performed until 2016.
The 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist then returned to WWE in 2017, got inducted into the Hall of Fame and worked for them until he officially retired in 2019.
