WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler has confirmed that despite ongoing health issues and a lengthy recovery process, he has not fully closed the door on stepping back into the ring for one final wrestling match.

During his interview with Action News 5, Lawler discussed his current condition following a stroke he suffered earlier this year, explaining that his health is still inconsistent on a day-to-day basis. When asked how he is doing, Lawler said:

“Oh gosh, I get asked that question 50 times a day. I like to say something I saw in the news recently was people say 6 or 7. I’ll get up to 7, then oops, something have go back to 6.”

Lawler went on to describe the frightening nature of his most recent stroke, explaining how suddenly it happened while he was alone in Florida.

“You can’t know when they’re going to have them and it’s just boom, you have it. I was in Florida by myself and woke up one morning and everything was messed up and I had to call Lauren to come down from Memphis and get me in the hospital.”

Despite the seriousness of his condition and the lingering effects, Lawler made it clear that wrestling is still on his mind. When asked whether his in-ring career is officially over, he smiled and left the possibility open. “I have not put it out of my mind. So, it’s still a possibility. One more match in there somewhere.”

While he is not currently cleared to wrestle, Lawler remains active within the wrestling world. He confirmed that he has returned to traveling regularly to meet fans. “Just this past weekend, we did a show in Louisiana,” Lawler said, noting that he is back on the autograph circuit nearly every week.

Lawler also acknowledged that his recent stroke has brought unexpected challenges that extend beyond the ring, including vision issues that have impacted his ability to create art. “Because I’m color blind and I can’t see the colors,” Lawler revealed.
