Goldberg’s in-ring return date remains uncertain, but his son, Gage Goldberg, believes the WWE Hall of Famer still has what it takes to compete.

In an interview with Bill Apter, Gage expressed confidence in his father’s ability to step into the Royal Rumble or face opponents like Gunther if given the chance.

When asked about his father’s Royal Rumble 2025 status, Gage said:

“He hasn’t told me that yet, but who knows? He’d definitely do it. He’d be down for anything. They tell him, ‘Okay, you’re gonna fight this guy,’ he’s gonna do it 100%. Go in the Royal Rumble? He’s gonna do it.”

Gage dismissed concerns about his father’s age, emphasizing Goldberg’s relentless gym routine and mental toughness:

“I know he’s still got it. He’s got a little while to prepare, I know he works his butt off in the gym every day. He’s getting his cardio up. I already know that he’s gonna be ready for that fight 100%. I don’t really know if age can be a factor with my dad because he’s just got it. It’s a switch in his head that when it’s flipped, it’s just game over.”

Goldberg’s last WWE moment came at Bad Blood, where a staredown with Gunther fueled speculation about a future showdown. At 57, Goldberg’s readiness for another match remains a topic of debate, but Gage insists his father would be fully prepared when the opportunity arises.
