WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi criticized Nia Jax’s chair shot technique during the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024, describing it as weak and lacking impact.
Speaking on his Off The Top Rope podcast, he called the swings “love taps” and questioned whether Jax had received proper training in WWE’s developmental system.

Rikishi advised Jax to commit fully to her performance, comparing her approach to swinging a bat like Babe Ruth, and emphasized that delivering convincing but safe offense is essential in wrestling.
While critical, Rikishi empathized, suggesting emotional factors or relationships might have affected Jax’s performance. He reminded her to focus on her role and separate emotions from the act. Who knows the emotion? Is this a friend? What I’m saying is, you gotta put that out from your head when you’re performing.
