In August, Fightful Select reported that when they asked their source in WWE about when Roman Reigns will lose the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, the answer they received was, “Whenever Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman f***ing say.”

Earlier this month, Xero News reported that WWE currently has plans to do both Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs. The Rock in 2024.

They also reported that Roman will go into both matches as champion and walk out of both these matches still the champion.

One of these matches will take place at WrestleMania 40, while the other will take place at a later date.

In an update, The Wrestling Blog is reporting the following:

“A creative idea was pitched in not so long ago of Roman Reigns passing Hulk Hogan’s record of 1,474 days as champion and it has been discussed heavily.”

As of this writing, The Tribal Chief has been champion for 1,152 days. To break the Hulkster’s record, Reigns will have to hold the Title at least until September 13th 2024.

Roman Reigns is currently scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight in the main event of the Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event in Saudi Arabia on November 4th.

They will make their title match official on this Friday’s SmackDown (which will air on FS1 instead of FOX), by signing a contract.
