• WWE Is Fining Wrestlers For Slapping Their Leg For Sound Effects
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE wrestlers are no longer allowed to slap their leg after a kick for sound effects.
“There was a story going around that WWE was fining wrestlers for ‘thigh slapping’ when throwing kicks for sound effects, a practice that has been in wrestling as far back as I can remember.”
WWE Officials sent a memo to NXT wrestlers about this and the wrestlers haven’t said a word about it.
According to Fightful, WWE main roster events had a “NO THIGH SLAPPING” sign in big, bold letters in the backstage area.
Last year, Randy Orton took a shot at NXT wrestlers for overusing the leg slaps for sound effects:
Heard #WWENXT #TakeoverInYourHouse was great! Slappin my leg for you guys. Sincerely #legslap
